Why we support the Bus Tour
Wednesday, July 25 2012
Putting our federal finances in order is one of the most critical challenges facing our nation, for both today and tomorrow. No matter what progress we make to improve economic growth and generate jobs, our nation’s current fiscal path puts our collective future severely at risk: jobs, education, health care, a secure retirement, infrastructure, national security, mortgage rates, and the success or failure of thousands of businesses. A U.S. debt crisis could destroy all that we hold dear. And yet many of our politicians have been pressing and pandering for partisan or ideological solutions that have resulted in a stalemate in Washington. We need timely and sensible solutions that presently support our nation and all future generations. We need leadership – and we need it now. The 2012 elections provide an excellent opportunity for voters to challenge our leaders to actually lead. If we put fiscal sanity over partisan politics, our country can avoid catastrophe. We support the $10 Million a Minute Tour and its mission to educate voters about fact-based, non-partisan solutions to restore fiscal sanity.

I look forward to attending the tour. Could it visit Indiana? – Brent
While I am sure the bus won’t reach my home state of Hawaii, I am confident the message will! Fiscal awareness, comprehensive moderate solutions, and leadership – this is what David Walker and the Comeback America website and bus tour bring to us. The new revolution is an awakened population seeking reasonable solutions – spread the word – don’t let the bus go off the fiscal cliff!
Thank God for David Walker and the fine work promoted by him and other groups such as the Concord Coalition and Americans for a Balanced Budget Amendment. According to former Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen and so many others, the DEBT is the greatest threat to our country. Finally, someone (David Walker) is willing to share the TRUTH about how to solve this problem, and not just give us nonsense party rhetoric. See you in Jacksonville, FL

Look forward to being in St. Louis ( we will travel from Springfield MO. ) on Sept.18th
Very happy to see the tour will happen – plan to attend in Dallas and hope this get’s the attention of the american people, which it deserves and requires.
I won’t miss this event.
I am hoping to attend, and perhaps even bring my children. These issues are critical and i sincerly hope that the message is heard loud (ly) and clear (ly). Great job!
Look at this organization’s “Restoring Fiscal Sanity” report:
Page 17: “Adopt President Obama’s proposed defense spending reductions.”
Page 19: “Adopt President Obama’s “The First Step” proposed reductions”
Page 21: “a consumption tax (e.g., VAT)…would provide individuals with an incentive to save.”
This is a LEFTIST, Tax-Raising effort ! Look just beneath its general ‘fiscally-responsible’ theme….DON’T think for a minute that it’s conservative….their tax-hiking, defense-cutting plans would destroy our nation.
saw on cspan interested more info
Saw David Walker on CSPAN and was inspired by his nonpartisan, dignified and highly articulate answers to callers. To each caller he responded with plain-English explanations of comments and questions about Medicare, Medicaid, and other highly charged issues critical to Americans’ future. As he said, leadership is our greatest challenge. In a campaign where both sides are mired in petty arguments such as what Mitt Romney paid in taxes (we know he’s rich), Mr. Walker focused on what we need to consider in a time of increasing public and personal debt to begin correcting our policies and programs in a responsible way. His approach is both rare and badly needed. We hope it will help Americans pay attention to the real issues of righting our economy and working toward fiscal responsibility, without which our democracy will suffer far worse times. Americans of all parties should listen carefully to him!
